ESG

Platinum Equity supports responsible investing, and acknowledges the importance of evaluating Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) issues in its investments. We believe that responsible investing and strong returns are complementary and that proper consideration of ESG issues contributes to improved portfolio company performance and investment results.

Our Approach to ESG

Platinum has long included key ESG considerations as part of our investment evaluation and portfolio management processes.

In 2020, we launched a new portfolio-wide initiative to further strengthen the ESG performance and reporting capabilities of our portfolio companies. We created a comprehensive ESG scorecard approach to aggregate ESG performance across portfolio companies. As part of Platinum’s normal course portfolio management company leadership teams are now required to report monthly on the state of ESG initiatives that have been tailored for each company.
